You will find three sorts of password on Toshiba system. First is for BIOS that is your current one. Second is HDD user or Supervisor password and final is the Windows password. First option: Change BIOS and supervisor passwords

  1. Firstly, restart your computer if already on. Immediately press F2 key on the keyboard and continue pressing the key until the start up screen appears as BIOS and supervisor passwords.
  2. Highlight “Set User Password” using up and down arrows keys on the keyboard and press Enter to continue the process.
  3. Now, type the current secret keys in the required box. Now, in the second box you have to enter your new secret keys and then confirm it by typing again in another box.

Second Option: Change Windows Login Password

  1. Power on your Toshiba laptop and login with to Windows account.
  2. Navigate to Start button and then move to Control Panel.
  3. Now, you have to click on “User Accounts” on Vista and Windows OS. Select “Change your password” and then enter the current log on secret keys, and then enter the new code word in another box.
  4. Now, enter the new secret keys once again to confirm it and also enter a password hint, in case to recover it if you forget your secret keys.
  5. Finally, click on “Change Password” to finish the process.
